Two Bottles of Wine is an online shop for Bulgarian wine, featuring a curated selection from small and boutique wineries, indigenous grape varieties, and wine regions across the country.
We’re Denitsa and Konstantin, and we work exclusively with Bulgarian wine. We’ve tasted pretty much everything you’ll find in the shop, and whenever we can, we visit the wineries and meet the people behind the bottles. We choose wines we’d open at home, bring to friends, or recommend to someone who just wants something good for the evening.
We believe Bulgarian wine deserves more attention. Alongside familiar varieties, you’ll find Dimyat, Gamza, Pamid, Vrachanski Misket, Shiroka Melnishka Loza, and other local grapes well worth discovering.
You don’t need to know your acidity from your tannins to pick a good bottle. And if you’re ever unsure, just drop us a line — we won’t quiz you, but we’ll probably suggest two bottles.
The first Pink Pelican wine we tried was their Cabernet Sauvignon from the old “Japanese vineyard” near Kaynardzha. The story behind the vineyard immediately caught our attention, but it soon turned out there were plenty of other reasons to keep coming back to their wines.
The reds were followed by the whites, and with them came our curiosity about the people behind the winery. So we decided to talk to Boyan Boev about the beginnings of Pink Pelican, working alongside his brother Mario, and how the two of them have gradually built the winery in their own way.

A small selection of wines at a better price, as we make room for what comes next. These are among the last bottles from their vintage.
A quiet opportunity to revisit a wine you enjoyed — or discover one you might have missed.
Available while they last.
